Taking into consideration the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent cancellation of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) of the previous year, the market leader wanted to explore alternative options for trade fair appearances and set up a hybrid experience offering both in-person and virtual attendance.

The virtual booth was designed to provide a seamless hybrid experience, with live broadcasts, 3D exhibitions, intuitive networking solutions, and customizable avatars to enhance interactivity.

The Main Results
The Deutsche Telekom hybrid exhibition booth at MWC 2022 was a success: with 590 subscribers to the DT platform who spent an average of 25 minutes (per user) in the 3D space. The average watch time in the live stream was 1.5 hours, indicating the appeal of the content and design.
To describe the extent to which the state-of-the-art digital conference organized by Deutsche Telekom was immersive and unique, CNBC wrote “The metaverse stole the show at the world’s biggest mobile event“.
