What do we do?

We match growth-stage tech companies with corporations globally!
We work with a portfolio of high growth-stage tech companies ready to scale their business globally.  Thereby, we manage and support our portfolio companies’ scaling process end-to-end:  From sourcing the right tech companies to introducing our portfolio companies to the right  corporates to finally supporting the onboarding of our portfolio companies at the corporate-side. Success for us means that our portfolio companies are collaborating with corporates successfully. Collaboration means buyer-supplier relationships, sales-through models and/ or product and  innovation partnerships, not investment. Lastly, we are industry-focused, i.e. we are active in the  Telecoms/ ICT, Financial Services, Insurances and partly eCommerce industry.

What’s the role?

We are looking for Engagement Managers being end-2-end responsible for the commercial success  of our portfolio companies. This role combines elements from product management, marketing as  well as sales- and pre-sales management. This means, every Engagement Manager: 

  1. works with 2-4 portfolio companies on an in-depth basis, and with all our portfolio companies and the Engagement Management team regularly, 
  2. needs to understand all our portfolio on a high-level and the respective specific companies in  detail,  
  3. is sharpening our portfolio companies’ value proposition, delivery models, business cases, sales  processes, etc. and  
  4. is driving the G2M activities of our portfolio companies. For this, we work with a global network  of “Match-Makers”. Match-Makers are very senior professionals based in today 40+ countries who provide us in-market experience and network. 

The end-measurement of success of an Engagement Manager is deals initiated and closed for our  portfolio companies. While individual performance is crucial, we strongly work in a team setting and  you need to be a team-player to succeed at MMV.

The following criteria are a pre-requisite:  

  • High proficiency in English; German and other languages are a plus but not a must
  • Creative thinking and ability to deliver complex tasks individually 
  • Strong willingness to learn and ability to quickly understand and accept new challenges 
  • International mindset based on international experiences  
  • Strong social skills being able to work and adopt to a high heterogenous work environment
  • Excellent understanding of MS Office tools
  • At least 3 years of work experience

You will quickly  be responsible for your own portfolio companies and will have to “match-make” between your  portfolio companies, corporates and our Match-Makers in an international setting.
